City Driving

  • Unless otherwise indicated, there is a 50kmh speed limit in the city and if there are a minimum of two lanes you can choose the lane

  • A driver must stop in front of a pedestrian crossing as soon the pedestrian shows the intention of crossing the street

  • If a bicycle route is marked in a one-way street, the cyclist is allowed to ride against the one way on this marking

Country Driving

  • There is a speed limit of 80kmh on main highways and 130kmh on motorways

Travel tips

School buses and public transport have right of way in Croatia when they are leaving a public stop and it is illegal to drive on tram lines.
