  1. Alcohol limit:
    • Laws against driving under the influence of alcohol are strict and follow a policy of zero tolerance

    • It is legal to use a hands free unit

    • Passengers in both the front and back seats must wear seat belts where fitted

General motoring advice
  1. Rush hour in built up areas:
    • The hours before and after main business hours are generally likely to see an increase in traffic in main towns and cities

     

  2. Fuel:
    • Large fuel stations located near motorways are often open 24 hrs and accept major credit cards 
    • Lead replacement petrol, unleaded petrol and diesel is available
    • Unleaded 95 or 98 super petrol is known as “natural”
  3. Parking advice:
    • In most streets, cars can park on the right side only facing the same direction as traffic flow
    • Finding parking spaces on Prague’s streets can be challenging and cars can frequently be subject to break-ins
    • Whenever possible it is recommended to use a secure parking lot
