The Czech Republic has undergone rapid economic and social change and is a developing European nation. Vehicle rental here is worthwhile because major roads are of a fairly reasonable standard. It should be noted though that more rural and side roads are often poorly lit and can, at times, mean quite hazardous driving conditions. Czech drivers are generally regarded as more relaxed compared to drivers of other European nationalities.
