Germany rules and regulations
Road rules
- Vehicles drive on the right hand side of the road
- Unless indicated (with a yellow diamond symbol next to the junction) priority is always shown to the cars on the right
- At any junction, even when the road goes straight ahead, vehicles on a road joining from the right have right of way
- Trams have priority but motorists are permitted to drive on tram rails
- The use of hidden speed cameras in suburban and residential areas is common. They are normally in the back of cars or vans There is no indication of these cameras/units and this encourages safer road use in these areas
