national car

Although Lebanon does not have any real highways of the kind found in Europe and USA, driving is still safe. Obtaining a driving licence is very easy – the driver just needs to be 18 years old and in good health to take an easy test.

City Driving

  • Many streets in the city and town centres are painfully narrow with locals at times parking recklessly

Country Driving

  • As most of Lebanon is made up of mountains that dip straight towards the sea, this brings with it sloping roads between mountain walls and ravines which can be very picturesque but also demand a little more focus when driving
