The driving culture in Malta is a little more relaxed than other European countries. It is a small island which, until recently, has left motorists to their own devices and only recently added traffic light signals onto its roads.

City Driving

  • Roads are generally in a moderate to fair condition although the Maltese roads are renowned for potholes and roadworks. With no motorways, the main roads are open or rural roads
