    • If any motoring or parking offence is committed for which a fine is payable then this will be required to be settled before departure
General motoring advice
  1. Rush hour in built up areas:
    • 0730 - 0900hrs
    • 1415 - 1900hrs
  2. Fuel:
    • Petrol stations are open 7 days a week on a 24 hour basis
    • On Saturdays between 1200hrs and 0759hrs (the following morning) and all day on Sunday the petrol stations operate on a self-service basis
    • Credit cards are not accepted
    • Unleaded Super 95/98 and Diesel available
  3. Parking advice:
    • No Parking / Tow Zones - Double yellow lines indicate that the area is not available for parking
    • A car spotted in such areas may be Clamped or Towed away
    • Timed Parking Zones - When visiting certain localities in Malta and Gozo watch out for "Timed Parking Zones"
    • These are zones where parking is limited to a one hour maximum
    • Public parking is free of charge - a tip to the parking controller is common
    • Private parking is charged by the hour
