Driving regulations
  1. Minimum age for rental:

    21 years of age
    Rental rates may be higher for renters aged 21-24

  2. Driving Licence:
    • You must carry your driving licence and passport at all times
    • International Driving Permits are useful although not mandatory
    • They are particularly advisable if your domestic licence does not have your photograph as police expect to see a photograph on all identification documents

Travel tips

Fuel stations can be found in most towns, staying open 24 hours a day in large cities. But in more remote areas can be a lot sparser. Credit Cards are widely accepted, but carrying cash is also recommended.
