Road rules
- Vehicles drive on the right hand side of the road
- All vehicles must use dipped headlights at all times
- Snow tyres are compulsory for driving in the winter and are provided by National Car Rental for all their cars from 1st November to mid April
- Trams always have priority
- Trams should be overtaken on the right unless it is a one way street
- Motorists must give way to traffic approaching from the right except on some selected main roads which are always given priority – these will be indicated by road signs
- Traffic already on a roundabout has priority
Driving regulations
- Minimum age for rental:
- 21 years of age
- Rental rates may be higher for renters aged 21-24
- Driving Licence:
- International Driving Permit
