The Slovak Republic is a country going through a great deal of development in its infrastructure. There are more international airline flights into the Slovak Republic now, with increasing numbers of business people and tourists visiting the country. It is easy to get around the country by car so renting is worthwhile.

City Driving

• Major dual carriageways in the Slovak Republic are quite good but there are not that many of them

• Side streets and city streets are often not in good condition with potholes

Country Driving

• It is easy to drive on the highways, but on the 1st category roads sometimes important signs are missing

• There are plenty of motels and restaurants close by main roads, as well as fuel stations
