Slovakia rules and regulations
Road rules
- Vehicles drive on the right hand side of the road
- All vehicles must use dipped headlights 15th October – 15th March
- When waiting at a train level crossing only sidelights should be used
- Vehicles approaching from the right should be given priority
- A tram signalling to turn right must always be given priority
- Trams are to be overtaken on the right unless there is sufficient room to overtake on the left
Driving regulations
- Minimum age for rental:
- 21 years of age for vehicle groups O, A, H, C, P, S
- 25 years of age for vehicle groups R, T
- Driving Licence:
- International Driving Permit
- The driver must be in possession of a valid driving licence held for at least one year and has to be valid in Slovakia
