The vast size of the USA means that hiring a car is by far the most economical and convenient way to get around the country, for business and leisure. The road network is relatively
sophisticated with highways and freeways connecting cities and towns all over the country and signage is clear and easy to follow.

City Driving

• Some of the bigger, older cities like New York, Boston and Chicago, have very high traffic in the city and driving in these areas can be quite a challenging experience

Country Driving

• You must remember that each of the 50 states has its own set of traffic laws and regulations, fortunately, most of the laws are the same, but some states have slightly different rules 

• When you rent a car, you should ask the agent if there are any special driving rules in that state

• When driving in multiple states, check a guide book for any special driving rules in each state
